H.Essers, Belgium’s largest fleet operating 4500 trailers, has outfitted 60 more semi-trailers with Dymaxa Side Skirts in Genk, Belgium. The move is part of H.Essers’ initiative to drive down CO₂ emissions and costs across its operations.
A successful pilot
The rollout follows a successful pilot. In March 2025, H.Essers equipped 10 semi-trailers with Dymaxa Side Skirts and ran them for 1.5 years in daily operation. The skirts came through in great shape, with no damage and barely a scratch. There was no operational downtime, and no issues at tight loading docks.
Over the pilot, the skirted trailers cut diesel consumption and CO₂ emissions by 4 to 5%. On the strength of those results, H.Essers decided to scale up from 10 trailers to 70.
