Dymaxa’s side skirt system is now a granted patent. EP4037958, “Skirt system for lowering the aerodynamic resistance of vehicles,” was granted to Dymaxa on 10 June 2026.
What the patent covers
The patent covers the mounting architecture behind the skirts: how the panels attach, flex and hold their shape on a trailer. This mounting system is central to how the skirts perform: it keeps them in great shape on the trailer for years, lets them fit any trailer brand and model, and keeps them compliant with all regulations on the integrity of the Lateral Protection Device (LPD).
Proven on the road
More than 400 Dymaxa skirts are driving on European roads today using this mounting method, saving fleets 4 to 6% in fuel with an average ROI of under 1 year. The design behind them is now protected across Europe.
